So here's something maybe you haven't heard of that you REALLY should get to know! It's called Influenster!
You request an invite at www.influenster.com. Once you're in, fill out some surveys (badges) and wait. When a "box" comes around that fits you, they send it to you-for free! All they ask is that you spread the word- tell them, and social media what you think of the products that they sent you. Super easy for getting some amazing products!
So anyway, I got my first one today and couldn't be more excited about it! The Vox Box I got was the Bride to be. So, it came with a bunch of stress-relieving and beautifying products.
First off, I didn't get the chance to try out all these today because I got home from work pretty late. So, I'll introduce all the products now, and review the one I tried and fill in the reviews for the rest of the products as I try them :)
Dream Water- stress relieving and supposed to help you sleep
Kiss false eyelashes- new and improved with "applicator strings"
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Repair Rescue: Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave in conditioner- split end therapy
Bach Rescue Gum- for stress relief
The Bach rescue gum is the only thing I got around to trying tonight, so here's my review of it!
I'm a gum-aholic, so when something new comes out in the gum world, I'm always up for trying it. So obviously I was more than thrilled when I got a GUM sample!
It tastes very interesting. It's one of those "what? Oh. Hmm.. ok, yum!" tastes. I truly did feel less stressed after chewing it up for a minute too! It's been a pretty stressful week, because I'm preparing to move out, but this really seemed to help.
It's biggest flaw (and it's a really big flaw for gum) is that I chewed it for probably 2 minute, and the flavor was COMPLETELY gone, and it turned into a little rock in my mouth. Now, I'm the type of person that likes to have gum in my mouth almost constantly.. So for my gum to go bad that fast was a little disappointing to me. I would say that I absolutely hated it, except for the fact that I STILL don't feel stressed! It's been 3 1/2 hours since I ate that little gem.
Anyway, so the gum is good for a quick stress fix- just be prepared to spit it out almost immediately after you put it in :)

Lavendar Oil
This is where it all started for me! My passion for beauty, and wanting to find what works and what doesn't. One little suggestion from a friend sparked my interest and brought me into a whole new world of beauty! Trying new prodcuts truely is my most favorite thing to do. If I could afford to get all the beauty boxes out there, I would in a heartbeat. But I must say, natural -and, in the end- less expensive beauty products are my most favorite to try.
So here's product number 1! I heard that lavendar oil is good for acne, so I gave it a go.
Let me explain my skin first. I don't have horrible acne, and I never have. But don't get me wrong, I don't have good skin either. I always have some good ol' zits on my face, especially around the time Aunt Flow comes. I would say I'm probably combination skin, or normal.
Now to the oil. My first bottle was from DoTerra, which is my favorite. The second I bought from Sisel, and I didn't get the same results. Thus, not all essential oils are alike. (Yes, I thought they were). It's the Lavendar Essential Oil 15ML ($28)http://www.doterra.com/ The bottle I bought was in an introduction kit with Lavendar, Peppermint, and Lemon oils- 5ML each ($26) I used the Lavendar Oil faithfully every night and it lasted me about 3 months. So, a 15ML bottle should EASILY last 9 months- if not a whole year! Not a bad investment, if you ask me.
So, here's what you do. First of all, I put it on at night because lavendar is calming, which helps me sleep. Drop 3 or 4 drops into the palm of your hand, and rub the oil all over your face. Then put on a good night cream. The best night cream I have used is TAY Safflower Seed Night Cream with Jojoba. I got it as a birchbox sample, and cannot WAIT until I can afford to get some more! (It's $112 :S )
Now to the juicy part- the results! Lavendar is, again, calming, so it reduces the inflammation of the nasty zit- thus reducing the appearance of them.
I noticed a significant improvement in my skin when I used it. It's softer, I had less acne, and overall, it just looked better.
I'll have to find some before and after pictures and post them! Until then, buy some lavendar oil and try it for yourself!
